Every know and then I get a really bad pain in my ribs like someone has just stabbed me in a certain place. I always try to use fill flash when shooting outside to avoid harsh shadows but I don't seem to be all that good at it. Is there a way to meter for the available light and just add a bit of flash? I use an external flash. I try to use reflectors when I can but it's not always possible.I use the flash guide number to pick an aperture based on distance to subject, and then close it a stop or so. I determine the shutter speed by metering available light at the final f/# I've chosen. I shoot sporting events like marathons where I generally need my D200 or D100 mounted vertically on my monopod for thousands of shots. This is easy when I'm using my longer lens with a collar but a pain with my shorter collarless lenses. Finally bit the bullet and went big with the purchase of a Canon 20 D last week. Figured since I am taking the NYIP course and would be shooting alot more, it would be cheaper to just shoot digital and only have to process the shots I send in for the photo assignments. The learning curve in regards to digital is gonna be steep, but the cost savings in regards to film will keep my wallet happy. Still not abandoning film though. Just like the fact that I don't need to keep notes with the digital. Shooting from 2 different cameras during a wedding, I had read somewhere (maybe Rangefinder) that a photog had devised a system to sort and name the images from the shoot in chronological order, from either camera, from any card. We are using a registration cookie that has to be present on the clients PC before the download will begin. Is there a way to code into the PDF search results a redirect to the "Check Cookie script"?
